what is the toontown ccpm?

The Toontown CCPM, also known as the Clan Community Preservation Movement, is a group with the common goal of preserving Toontown Clans!

what is a clan or guild?

"In video games, a clan, community, guild, or faction is an organized group of video game players that regularly play together in one or more multiplayer games."
In Toontown terms, a clan is a community who share a common theme (ex. "Lizard Clan" members all have Lizard in their toon name) and play together, host events, and have fun! A guild is very similar, though tends to be less strict. For example, ATTA's (Adult Toontown Addicts) only requirement for joining is that you are above the age of 18 years old.
In essence, a clan or a guild is a small community within Toontown!

that sounds awesome! how do I join?

✕ Toontown Online (2003 - 2013)

2003-2004:  the first few "clans" weren't what we think of today. these clans followed the more traditional definition, where it would be just a group of friends or a group of people with the same common goals. there are several posts about these old-school clans still available for viewing on MMO Central Forums, formerly known as Toontown Central Forums.

2005-2006:  some of the first notable clans were actually clans based on the warrior cats book series! there were tens, if not hundreds, of these clans over the span of toontown online. around this time, the big ones were: thunderclan, riverclan, windclan, and shadowclan. another popular clan, which is still around but no longer toontown-centric, midnight clan began in 2005. the cold caller's guild was also founded in 2005, and still runs to this day!

2007-2010:  this was the time that clans really started to become popular! Lizard Clan was founded in 2007, being THE first pioneer of the clans we know today. following in 2008, we saw the founding of chihuahua clan, crocodile clan, and leaf clan. then, in 2010, came lobster clan, treetop clan, and cheetah clan.

2011-2013:  clans were still super popular during this time, though new clans tended to not last as long or gain as much notoriety as the big ones that had already established their presence. some of the biggest clans had over 800 members, as well as people trying to imitate them. for instance, there was a fake lizard clan that was run by a toon named clover lizard. in 2012, some mildly popular clans were founded, including husky clan and song clan.

✕ The Birth of Toontown Rewritten (2013 - 2017)

alpha (2013-2014):  of course, as we all know, there was a very small playerbase on toontown rewritten during the alpha phase, as it was only open to those who were notable in the toontown community, staff members, and anybody lucky enough to obtain an alpha key. some of those notable toons did include clan members, such as soul lizard, formerly known as roxy foxy lizard, the current leader of lizard clan.

closed-beta (2014):  thanks to the creation of the playline, much more of the public was able to access the game! tasks were available to obtain beta keys once you reached daisy gardens and more were given away by the toontown rewritten team. this allowed more people to remake their old toontown online toons, including clan toons!

 open-beta (2014-2017):

✕ The Dark Days (2018 - 2019)

2018-2019:  most clans operated as usual during this time, but the hype was dying down. some clans made minor comebacks during 2019, such as lobster clan or lizard clan reopening.

✕ The Resurgence (2021 - Present)

 2021-2023:

 2024:

2025:  clans have been on an even better uprising trajectory (so far) this year. in april, the toontown clan community preservation movement made it's debut. chihuahua clan, lizard clan, and shiba clan celebrated their re-openings, and several new clans had formed, including cow clan, red panda clan, and more.

cold caller's guild (ccg)

The CCG is a group of people who attend boss battles within the game ToonTown without the elevator shuffle. The Cold Callers Guild started in February 2004 by ToonTown player AJ the Blue Horse with the simple idea to start a group that would never shuffle off the elevator to the Sellbot VP, regardless of who was on it. There was one rule and one rule only: No Shuffling!

adult toontown addicts (atta)

What the heck is ATTA?!? Adult ToonTown Addicts! We are a group of adults who enjoy, nay, are addicted to Toontown. Some of us play too much, others wish they could play more. Each and every one of us has probably, at one time or another, had someone look at us like we were crazy for playing a KID'S game.
